HOW TO PLAY

How Wagers Win, Lose and Push
  • If the player/dealer has not qualified with 1 pair or better.
  • An ante wager will not receive action and will be returned to the player.
  • A Blind wager and a Play wager will receive action. It will win if the hand ranks higher than the player/dealers hand, lose if it ranks lower and push if it ranks the same.
  • A Trips Bonus wager will receive action.This hand will lose if it doesn’t have at least 3 of a kind. It will win if it has 3 of a kind or better. A win will be paid according to the posted pay table.This hand cannot push.
If the player/dealer qualifies with 1 pair or better:
  • An Ante wager, a Blind wager and a Play wager will receive action. A hand will win if it ranks higher than the player/dealers hand, lose if it ranks lower and push if it ranks the same.
  • A Trips Bonus wager will receive action. This hand will lose if it doesn’t have at least 3 of a kind. It will win if it has 3 of a kind or better. A win will be paid according to the posted pay table. This hand cannot push.

GAME RULES

  1. UTH is played with a standard 52 card deck
  2. Any required fees will be posted at the table and paid prior to the hand being dealt.
  3. UTH is played with a maximum of seven players, inclusive of the player/dealer. A casino dealer will deal the game.
  4. Before the first card is dealt, each player must make either;
    • An equal ante and blind wager, or
    • An equal ante and blind wager and a Trips Bonus wager.
  5. All cards are dealt face-down. Each player, inclusive of the player/dealer, will be dealt two cards, after which five community cards will be dealt in the center of the table.
  6. Once a player has looked at their hand, the player has two options: check or place a Play wager either 3x or 4x the value of their Ante wager. Once action is complete, the casino dealer will face-up three of the community cards.
  7. Each player that checked (see 6 above) has two options: check or place a play wager 2x the value of their ante wager. Once action is complete, the casino dealer will face-up the remaining two community cards.
  8. Each player that checked (see 6 & 7 above) has two options, place a play wager equal to their ante wager or fold.
  9. The player/dealer must qualify with1 pair or higher. If their hand does not qualify, each active player will push on their ante wager and receive action both on their blind and play wagers.
  10. If the player/dealer qualifies, each active player’s hand will be compared against the player/dealers hand. Both the player and player/dealer may utilize the best 5 of their 7 cards (i.e.: the 2 in their hand and the 5 community cards).
  1. A player’s hand will win if their hand has a higher poker value than the player/dealers hand, lose if their hand has a lower poker value and push if their values are equal.
  2. Winning wagers. Ante wagers and play wagers will be paid 1 to 1. Blind wagers and Trips Bonus wager will be paid in accordance with the appropriate pay table.
  3. When a player has placed a Trips Bonus wager at the beginning of the round and has received 3 of a kind or higher, the casino dealer will leave this hand face-up on the table until action has been received. Trips Bonus payouts are made regardless of whether the hand wins, loses or pushes.
  4. This is an optional Bad Beat wager for the game of Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Players win if the player and the player-dealer are involved in a bad beat. There are two ways to win:
    • The player has three of a kind or better and loses to the player-dealer.
    • The player beats the player-dealer’s hand of three of a kind or better, using the player’s two cards and the five community cards.
  5. All hands receive action to the extent that the player/dealer wager covers. The player/dealer is never required to cover all opposing players’ wagers. The house never participates as the player/dealer. The house never takes a percentage of wagers placed in a game. There is no maximum on the player/dealer wager.
  6. A round of play ends when the player/ dealer exhausts their bankroll or when all player wagers receive full action.
  7. The opportunity to be in the player/dealer position will rotate in a systematic and continuous manner among the seated players so that all players have an equal opportunity to be in the player/dealer position.
